QUESTION ON SCORING I was just looking over your new website and everything looks great, but I did have a question regarding
the scoring system for awards. I was just curious if it was the same scoring system as when you did Footloose, or did
you make it tougher to achieve each award? Do you think that you might have a slightly more relaxed scoring system
for the different Competitive Levels?
ANSWER
The scoring system is completely
different from Foot Loose. It won't be any more difficult to achieve each medal standing , but we did make the span for
Gold smaller. We found , in the past, because the point range for a Gold Medal was so large, too many routines were
recieving Gold. Althought the point system for Novice and Recreational
are the same as competitive, the judges will use a slightly more relaxed critiqing system.
QUESTION ON SOLO ENTRY FEES
Many of the competitions
I have been looking into for my studio have an entry fee of $50-60 for a solo. Your fee is substantially higher....what do
the kids get for the additional expense?
ANSWER
Our solos cost $75. Each solo routine will receive a complimentary Video Judge
DVD critique, which is a $25 value. Solo routines are each awarded a medallion, in group routines each member receives
a pin and ribbon. Additionally, all solo routines are eligible to win the SuperStar title, the winner is awarded the trophy,
scholarship and SuperStar jacket.
Also,
we are offering 20% off all registrations received before December 1st, 2007. Even if you just wanted to send your solo entries
in advance, they would be reduced to $60 each, which is closer to what your parents are used to paying.
However, I think you, and your student's parents
will find that we do offer quite a lot of value for the money. As far as production quality, entertainment and professionalism,
SuperStar is the BEST!
